Cute and Easy Animal Cupcake Topper Craft!

A great excuse to go out into nature and find some fallen pine cones or thin twigs, these animal portraits make cute cake toppers or a fun art project! I made these guys for The Week Junior’s How-To page.

Use them to top off cupcakes, cakes, muffins, pies, or anything!

Recycled cereal boxes provided the cardboard for the faces. I used pinecone scales to create the lion’s mane and for monkey ears…and twigs for the deer antlers. What other backyard finds can you use?
