Fun on a Rainy Day: Homemade Crystal Letters!

It's about to rain here and a lot of our kids are done with camp which is exactly when I find it helpful to have a few activities lined up. And if these activities utilize stuff you already have in the house, even better!
Have you tried making crystals with your kids? It’s a fun one!

You can use Epsom salt or borax, like these letter-shaped crystals that I made for The Week Junior!

Use a pencil or a twig to hang your pipe cleaner shapes….or even just a piece of string…into the solution (instructions above). Leave the strings on if you want to use them as Christmas ornaments!
