Make Easy Fingerprint Valentines With Your Kids!

Homemade Valentines are the best! And it doesn't get easier than these fingerprint Valentines which I made for the current issue of The Week Junior.

Using an ink pad is the best way to make fingerprints but you can also use paint. Brush a thin layer of paint on a palette or paper plate...and press your finger on it! For these cards, I glued on some colored paper signs and a talk bubble. And string to make a fingerprint heart balloon.

Ps- Side note: I have been a lifelong fan of @edemberley and his fingerprint art books....if you enjoy making fingerprint art...or drawing...his books are a MUST!

And if you're a fan and don't have it already, check out the definitive book on his work, Ed Emberley, by Todd Oldham and Caleb Neelon.

And side side siiiide note: an exhibition of his work, I Could Do That! The Picture Book Art of Ed Emberley. On view now through June 12! At The Eric Carle Museum. Let's go!!!
