Learn How to Make an Ink Blot Tote Bag! (Our Super Fun Craft for Alt Summit with Joann Fabrics)!

I recently attended Alt Summit, the incredible conference for creative female influencers and entrepreneurs here in NY. It was a glorious day of learning, seeing new and old friends, community….and crafts! My dear friend, Amanda Kingloff, of Project Kid, and I hosted a craft table, as we have done at many Alts. This year, we were lucky to have the support of Joann Fabrics, who provided the perfect paints and totes.

What you’ll need:

- Blank white tote bags
- Acrylic craft paint (we love the assortment of colors in this pack!)
- Corrugated plastic (this can be wiped clean between uses!) , or file folders, or recycled cardboard.
- Scrap cardboard or paper to line the bag and prevent bleed through

We had a blast. Look at all those gorgeous bags made by attendees! (Alt photos, above, by Nicole Breanne)

As Amanda says, you can’t make just one!

I saved all the cardboard I used for printing the tests and I might hang them on the wall, I loved them so much! I hope you’ll give this a try. We are obsessed!! ❤️
