Weekend Project With Your Kids: Easy Halloween Crafts Made From Recycled Materials

As I've said many time, recycled materials like paper towel and toilet paper tubes are some of my favorite materials to make stuff out of. Needless to say, I never throw them out! In fact, my new-ish e-book, Toilet Tube Treasury is all about that! I recently re-made a few of the crafts from this book and painted them black for Halloween, like this little black cat!

Here’s the cover…and the original cat! :) The book includes templates for all the crafts and it’s an e-book so you can download it right away and print as many templates as you need!

Click here for instructions to make these little ghosts! (And you can find templates in the book!)

I made this little haunted village for West Elm Kids (watch the how-to video we made together here) with some of my other favorite recycled materials: milk cartons and recycled boxes! Cut holes in the bottoms of the houses and put battery-operated tea lights inside to make them glow!

Or, here’s another craft from the book that would make a great haunted house, just paint it black and maybe add a few cobwebs!

Happy Halloween!!
