A Last-Minute Halloween Costume Alternative: a Potato-Printed Spooky Apron!

My big brother is starting a kitchen textiles line and he sent me his very first product, a black apron. I couldn’t help myself and I immediately potato-printed it. A fun, decorative apron is perfect for Halloween if you’re entertaining but not quite up for wearing a costume!

Fingerling potatoes are just the right shape to easily make a ghosts. Slice them open the long way and use a paring knife to cut a zigzag on the bottom. Punch eyes using a metal drinking straw.

Squeeze some white acrylic craft paint onto a paper plate and spread it into a thin layer with a paintbrush. Dip the cut end until you see that it is covered. Stamp, and then repeat the process until you have covered your apron!

Ps- Print right on the pocket and you can have a talking ghost!
